Maggie Reilly

Reilly er kendt for sit samarbejde med blandt andet komponisten Mike Oldfield fra 1980 til 1984, som virkelig skød hendes verdensstjerne-karriere afsted. Det kom der verdenshits ud af som Family Man (1982), Moonlight Shadow (1983), Foreign Affair (1983) og To France (1984).

I 1992 udsendte hun albummet Echoes med de store hits Everytime We Touch, Tears In The Rain og Wait.

Af øvrige udgivelser kan nævnes blandt andet Midnight Sun i 1993, Elena i 1996 og Starcrossed i 200, samt ikke mindst Save it for a Rainy Day i 2002. Sidstnævnte er indspillet i de, efter dansk målestok, legendariske Puk-Studier ved Randers.

I 2013 udkom det succesfulde album Heaven Sent, hvorfra singlerne Juliette og Cold The Snow Clad Mountain også opnåede succes.

Ved en Maggie Reilly koncert kan man forvente en perlerække af verdenshits fra begyndelsen af 1980'erne.

Reilly (born September 15, 1956) is a Scottish vocalist best known for her collaborations with the composer Mike Oldfield between 1980 and 1984, especially by performing the vocals on such songs as “Moonlight Shadow”, “Five Miles Out”, “Family Man” and “To France”.

Reilly was born in Glasgow. Her early career included singing with the Scottish Jazz Funk band Cado Belle. In 1992, she issued her debut solo album “Echoes”, from which the singles “Everytime We Touch”, “Tears in the Rain” and “Wait” were the most successful ones, followed by “Midnight Sun” in 1993, “Elena” in 1996, “Starcrossed” in 2000, “Save It For A Rainy Day” in 2003 and “ROWAN” in 2006. Latest Albums are
looking Back, Moving Forward (2009) and Heaven Sent (2013)

She has also worked with many others including Mike Batt (on his “The Hunting Of The Snark” album), Jack Bruce, Dave Greenfield & Jan-Jacques Burnel, Lesiëm, Ralph McTell, Simon Nicol (of Fairport Convention), Runrig, The Sisters of Mercy and Smokie.
